The MAX78615+PPM is part of an isolated energy mea-surement processor (EMP) chipset for polyphase powermonitoring systems. It is designed for real-time monitor-ing for a variety of typical three-phase configurations inindustrial applications.The device provides flexible sensor configuration for upto three MAX78700s or MAX71071s that provide up tosix isolated analog inputs for interfacing to voltage andcurrent sensors. Scaled voltages from the sensors arefed to the isolated front-end utilizing a high-resolutiondelta-sigma converter. Supported current sensors includeresistive shunts and current transformers (CTs).An embedded 24-bit measurement processor and firm-ware perform all necessary computations and data for-matting for accurate reporting to the host. With integratedflash memory for storing nonvolatile calibration coefficientsand device configuration settings, the MAX78615+PPMcan be a completely autonomous solution.The MAX78615+PPM is designed to interface to the hostprocessor through the UART, SPI, or I2C interfaces, andis available in a 24-pin TQFN package.
