IRS2168DPBF Description

The IRS2168D is a fully integrated, fully protected 600 Vballast control IC designed to drive all types of fluorescentlamps. The IRS2168D is based on the popular IR2166control IC with additional improvements to increase ballastin criticalperformance. The PFC circuitry operatesconduction mode and provides high PF, low THD and DCbusincludeprogrammable preheat and run frequencies, programmablepreheat time, programmable PFC over-current protection,ignition current regulation, andclosed-loop half-bridgeprogrammableprotection. Comprehensiveprotection features such as protection from failure of a lampto strike, filament failures, end-of-life protection, DC busundervoltage reset as well as an automatic restart function,have been included in the design.regulation.
